Aquarium

Last Saturday we took the boy to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  For those of you who don't know, it's a Bay Area institution and famous for having one of the the largest panes of glass in the world in the tuna and shark tank.  I have never been a fish fan and sea creatures really creep me out!  But I'm coming around.  I still cringe in horror at the lobster tank and fish eyes are some of the creepiest things ever.  My preferred attractions are the jellyfish, leopard sharks (though they don't hold a candle to to the leopard shark in my favorite movie), penguins and hammerhead sharks.  I could watch the hammerhead sharks chasing the schools of fish for hours!  Enzo really like the tide pools because there you can use your hands and grab stuff!  Like starfish!

I really love this next picture because it is so ethereal!  Plus, I really like the teeny little jellyfish.

One of our dreams for Enzo is that he translates whale song.  I couldn't resist putting the thought in his head at the interactive kids part of the museum.  He probably just loved pressing those buttons...

Watching fish is so fascinating for adults. We can just imagine the amazement Lorenzo was experiencing. It is so nice he is being exposed to nature's wonders so early in life.
